What is the difference between grand mayan and mayan palace

Victor Moreno Puebla Mexico January 7, am. This building is very new it is not even on the map. It was a beautiful one bedroom, very spacious. This resort is very big but has everything for the perfect beach holiday. The pools are the nicest I ever seen and I agree with all other comments about the staff at the resort, they were wonderful. We spend a wonderful vacation at the Grand Bliss Puerto Vallarta, the room with an spectacular ocean view on a 7th floor was just fabulous, sunset at the terrace with a glass of wine was great.

The food in all the restaurants, specially at the Mexican Restaurant "Epazote" in the Grand Luxxe was great. The people working at the pools, restaurants and bars, always extremely friendly and courteous providing a great service.

Nevertheless, a few things to remark, water temperature in all the pools except the ones located at the Grand Luxxe were cold, for some reason I guess to save money they only heat a few of them. Transportation was a real problem, the electric golf cars were insufficient to transport all the people and sometimes we needed to wait long 15 minutes.

We did not have any problems at all at Ck-in. That's been the Best Vacation we've ever had. The resort was beautiful and amazing with great pools and restaurants, we stayed in Building 6 and it was perfect, we love to walk and we enjoyed the nice walkways, even though their Transportation would pass by every min, we preferred to walk. The Staff was marvelous, they made you feel like royalty, it was unbelievable!

Hello John, Everything went well at the Mayan. I would certainly recommend your website here in Mexico. What a great experience! The rentals went smooth, and the property was absolutely amazing!

The rooms could not have been nicer, the facilities more beuatiful, or the vacation so hassle free. We will definately book through Mayan Rental again in the future! We stayed for New Years week at the Mayan Palace.

The resort is really nice, although almost at full occupancy we allways found a shaded spot by the pool. The rooms are great, much bigger and nicer than expected, the back and forth transportation to the Grand Mayan beach front is excellent ans runs every 5 minutes. My two children had a great time. Family activities by the pool and by night are run constantly, bingo, loteria, aqua aerobics were a lot of fun. Prices at the restaurant and shop are ok. Only one but, the cleaning lady does not do the dishes, so I did my share of dish washing during the whole week, since I had borught food for breakfast and snacks.

Can't wait till next year Thanks From all 12 of us The Grand Mayan was Awesome.! We spent a week with four other families, and we had a fabulous time. There was something for everyone! The little kids loved painting and swimming while the older kids loved the pools, beach and activities. All of us spent hours on the lazy river laughing and splashing away. When the evening meels seemed to be catching up with the ladies, the daytime water aerobics felt great.

The staff is friendly, the restaurants are great and the atmosphere is festive. This is the best family-oriented resort that we have visited in Mexico or Hawaii. Fun, fun, fun! Everyone at the Grand Mayan were very helpful and friendly. The pool area was great as well as the poolside restaurant.

We really enjoyed all the activities and sites in the area. John and Linda were wonderful to deal with in booking our stay. Floyd Monen March 28, pm. Mayan Palace in Riviera Maya just okay. Large pool maid service great. It is just very far from everything. Grand Mayan in Playa del Carmen area was excellent. No problems with the water, great food, biggest pool we have ever seen, excellent staff and the rental is a great price compared to a hotel. Will be going back. Place is big, but does not seem crowded, very limited waits and lots of choices.

MayanRental is super efficient and there are no problems renting from them. Top shelf people all the way and I am super picky and a snob!

We had a great time. Room was beatiful, maid was service was great. The entire staff could not have been more friendly. I wish I was there now. Grand Mayan accommodations were very good value, pools are terrific, restaurants and weather were also very good. The condo pitches are oppressive. The 'one hour' presentation lasted 4.

We were skeptical at first but turned out to be the BEST vacation of our life and the most luxurious resort we have ever stayed at. Our children were highly impressed too.

They loved the pool at Mayan Palace and the beach is great for surfing. We rode horses in the sand. Staff was excellent, location heaven on earth.

We own property at this resort. We were happy to leave Martinsville, Va.!!! This resort is my favorite. We have visited Mexico three times. Great resort, super staff. I toured this resort with a very nice young gentleman named Seth, and while it may be a top notch facility, I gotta tell you I smell a rat.

I got back to my resort and found owners who said they NEVER have been paid rent on a unit they did not use, which was a big selling point for the resort. My advice is to stay away Scott USA May 25, pm. Also to mention it "worked in our favor" by checking in on Monday instead of Sun.

We thought the room we would get would NOT have the view that we hoped for, boy this time it really worked! So very happy about that! Great resort kids loved the water slide, wave pool, lazy river etc! Great time had by all! Thanks again for ALL your help! We would use you again for sure! This is the second time we go to Mayan Palace Riviera Maya and it is really good. We never want to return home. Hospitality there is to be pointed out as impossible to be improved, people there are lovely. Regarding the rooms, they are always very tidy and there is always somebody checking if everything is correct.

Restaurants such as Tramonto and Gong are unbelievable, their decoration is nice and the food very good, especially the basket of bread at Tramonto, though wines are a bit expensive.

Talking about the pool, we had very good time in it, at a certain time it was a bit cold, in February some days were no so warm to enjoy cold water. All in all , we enjoyed our holidays there and we're planning to know how Mayan Palace looks like in Nuevo Vallarta or Acapulco. Thank you for your interest in asking about our vacation.

Wanted to let you know what a wonderful vacation we had at the Grand Mayan in Nuevo Vallarta again this year. We were there the last week of January and had friends with us who loved it also. The weather was spectacular, the resort so well maintained, great food and everyone was so friendly. My only recommendation would be not to rely on directions from the hotel staff.

We got lost several times in trying to find restaurants by car. We declined attending a timeshare presentation and was never asked again. Is there a huge difference in the units? We like to cook at least one meal in the resort.. Please share your thoughts and past experience with these resorts. The Grand Mayan units are larger, have a big deck and the refrigerator in the kitchen is also larger.

In the MP you will have at least 2 electric burners, a microwave, coffeemaker, blender, toaster, and under counter refrigerator in the kitchen area, but no deck.

Confused: Mayan Palace vs. Grand Mayan. Thread starter ocdb8r Start date Feb 6, I have been going through old posts and am soooo confused on the difference between these two. In most of the posts people tend to use them interchangeably but there are hints here and there that there ARE differences even read one post where the poster was horrified to have been switched to the MP after confirming a GM unit, but no explanation why.

The only thing I've been able to pin down is that the GM units at Riviera Maya have plunge pools and I don't really care about having a plunge pool. So, what are the differences? I'm also curious about their other locations? Nuevo Vallarta, Acapulco Pool access? In Nuevo, Yes I would. If you are trying to figure out the real difference think "class system". The way the marketing scheme goes is, the Grand Mayan units and their amenites including pools and common areas are more upscale than the Mayan Palace units and their amenities including pools and common areas which are more upscale then the Sea Garden units and amenities.

And they check to make sure that the classes oops, I really mean resort guests don't up-mix down mixing is okay assuming you're a GM owner or exchnger by colour of braclet on your wrist. All resorts have their own colour and style of bracelet and owners have a different colour than exchangers..

Having said all this, the resorts, regardless of where you stay, are really nice and well cared for. We bought a Mayan Palace unit on Ebay and we like the decor just fine and our children look back on the one Christmas we spent as exchngers at the Riviera Maya mayan Palalce as one of the best family holiday's they've ever had. Oh yes and if you exchange through RCI into one of the family of Grupo Mayan resorts and are not an owner, there is a 1 in 5 rule for all Grand Mayan, Mayan Palaces, and Sea Garden resorts in the chain.

If you trade in through SFX there is no restriction like that But as I said before, great resorts - we like them, but they have somewhat capricious rules and really hard ball marketing to try and sell you.
